Founded in April, 2001, Sunrise Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sunrise Power”), registered in the High-tech Industrial Park of Dalian, Liaoning Province, was the first joint-stock enterprise in China dedicated to the industrialization of fuel cells. In 2006, the company was awarded and contracted to build the “National Engineering Research Center for Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Source Technology” by the National Development and Reform Commission, and was awarded the “Postdoctoral Research Station” by the Ministry of Personnel at the same year. In 2018, it passed the IATF16949 automotive industry quality management system certification, is state-level high-tech enterprises and state-level IPR pilot units. After 18 years of unremitting efforts, Sunrise Power has developed into a specialized fuel cell company integrating research and development, engineering transformation, product production and personnel training. The development vision of Sunrise Power is to become an internationally competitive supplier of fuel cell stacks and systems.
Sunrise Power owns intellectual property rights of proton exchange membrane fuel cell technology, and some key technologies have reached the first-class level in the world. By October, 2019, the company has a total of 527 patents, including 2 international patents, and covering the key materials and components, galvanic pile and all system levels of the proton exchange membrane fuel cell. In December, 2016, the company won the honorary title of "National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise" and became the vice-chairman unit for formulating the national technical standards of fuel cell.
In the past 18 years, Sunrise Power has always adhered to independent innovation, and gradually established and improved the product development system, test evaluation system, production management system, and after-sales service system. It has mastered the core technologies of fuel cell stacks and parts development and batch production processes, is the leader in the commercialization of hydrogen fuel cell technology in China. The company is specialized in the two segments of fuel cells, service and its test bench and has 27 registered trademarks, wherein the fuel cell modules HYMOD®-36, HYMOD®-50, HYMOD®-60 and HYMOD®70 have been produced in batches and successfully applied to many fuel cell vehicles by cooperating with many large automobile companies in China. The test bench equipment of fuel cell includes the test benches of galvanic pile, fuel cell system and key components. The company has the capacity of 1000 sets of fuel cell peryear.
